The MV Princesse de Provence is a deluxe ship built in 1992 and refurbished annually. She has a light and airy ambiance and is distinguished by staterooms on her upper deck that have full-length opening French doors (staterooms on the lower deck have large windows). Original works of art can be found throughout the ship. She has a total of 70 staterooms, all of which are outside, configured as twins and identical in size. Each is beautifully appointed and features built-in wardrobes, desk, shower and toilet, telephone, radio, colour TV, hairdryer and terry robes are available upon request. For all 2008 cruises, smoking will only be permitted on deck.
The ship serves six meals daily (breakfast, morning bouillon, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and late supper). All meals are single seating in a non-smoking dining room with seven-course evening meals (up to nine courses on selected nights). Additionally, there is a lounge, two bars, beauty salon, boutique, laundry, safe deposit boxes and a qualified doctor on board. The Sun Deck has plenty of deck chairs and blankets, if needed. Captain’s Welcome and Captain’s Farewell Receptions are provided as well as nightly entertainment and dancing. There is one crew member for every 2.5 guests providing an excellent crew-to-guest ratio. This allows for a high level of service as well as sumptuous food, served course by course for the evening meal. English language announcements, menus and daily programmes are provided on Rhone and Saone River Cruises.
